Michael Chekhov Workshop Day 1

March 10, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The Homespun Players will host a workshop on the Michael Chekhov acting technique as taught by a master of the technique, Hugh O’Gorman.

An actor has a thousand eyes” –Michael Chekhov

The nephew of Anton Chekhov and Stanislavsky’s ‘most brilliant pupil,’ was known as one of Russia’s most outstanding and innovative actors and directors, who intrigued his audience with his character interpretations that were extremely alive and imaginative. After his exile from Russia and stays in Germany, France, England, he settled in America, where he continued his pioneering work.

He developed an acting technique, a ‘psycho-physical approach’, in which transformation, working with impulse, imagination and inner and outer gesture are central. It offers clear and practical tools in working with imagination, feelings and atmosphere.

Two 4 hour sessions

Non-refundable deposit is $50.00 to hold spot, balance due before Friday, February 24th.
